Guitar Improvisations

I currently play solo electric guitar.  I use the structure of jazz and broadway standards – as well as some of my own compositions – to weave medleys and improvisations.  I like melody.  I like the blues.  I like to keep it interesting and evolving…  Live Music for Live People.

Here’s my current play list:

  • All of Me
  • Black Dot Sneakers
  • Fly Me to the Moon
  • Georgia on My Mind
  • John Barleycorn
  • Moon Dance
  • My Favorite Things
  • Preternatural
  • Radar Love
  • Saint James Infirmary
  • School for Suicides
  • Silk Pajamas
  • Summertime
  • Sunrise Sunset
  • Whatever Lola Wants
  • You’re Nobody till Somebody Loves You
  • The Tennessee Waltz

I have performed at restaurants, art galleries, fairs and festivals.  I have performed solo, in a violin-guitar jazz duet, in a celtic trio, drummed for belly dancers, directed a ten piece drum ensemble, and taught music.  I have whistled, played the accordion, violin, harmonica, guitar, drums, banjo and clarinet.  Guitar has been my main instrument for 40 years.

These recordings were made in 2005, in my living room with a DAT recorder and a Martin D-40 acoustic guitar.  The sound quality is quite good.
